PMI-T: Earn more PDUs in 2020

The PMI-Tucson Chapter continues to grow - we now have over 500 members! Be a part of our continued growth in 2020 and beyond by serving as a volunteer or a board member.

Volunteers are not elected positions, but are needed to help run all aspects of chapter operations. Volunteers earn additional PDUs for their service to the profession and the chapter, in addition to those earned through event attendance.

Please contact the chapter’s Volunteer Coordinator Tara Bessard at [email protected] if you have at least 1 hour a month to assist and would like to volunteer.

Board Members

We currently have six elected positions. A brief outline of the board positions and descriptions of their duties is listed here. Board members serve a two-year term, and the elected positions are staggered so that only certain board positions are elected each year. This year's board positions up for election are:

* VP of Administration
* VP of Finance
* President

Board members must be chapter members who have attended at least 2 chapter meetings in the past 12 months, and who are able to dedicate a few hours each month to working on chapter business. Generally the board meets (virtually) as a group for 1 hour each month and has quarterly in-person board meetings. Aside from being a part of growing the profession of project management in the region, board members can claim service PDUs, get discounts on chapter events, access free leadership training (at the PMI Learn website, with 40 Harvard leadership e-learning courses, over 20 custom PMI leadership courses), and participate in regional and national leadership events.

Please contact Marcela Delgado at [email protected] by 11/15 if you are interested in running for one of the board positions or if you have questions about the positions.
