Procuring Effective Virtual Platforms for Facilitating Collaborative Meetings and Workshops
Meetings and workshops make the world go round. Effective facilitation can sometimes make or break your project, and having the right tool(s) can make all the difference. Numerous virtual platforms exist to support facilitating collaborative meetings and workshops, such as virtual white boards and flip charts. How do you determine which to use? Join this session to learn one agency's process for selecting a platform for virtual strategic planning and tips for procuring your next virtual platform.
Guest Speakers: Julie Kudrna, MPA and Paul Lovelis PMP
Julie Kudrna has led evaluation, performance management, strategic planning, and training initiatives for over ten years. She is a skilled facilitator of both virtual and in-person meetings and workshops and has facilitated hundreds of meetings for projects at the Pima County Health Department, Pima County Juvenile Court, and Primavera Foundation. She has a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in biology. Julie has worked in local government and nonprofit organizations on issues of homelessness, juvenile justice, and public health.
Paul Lovelis has led many software implementation projects from design specifications, selection, through implementation, and maintenance. He has written and served on many software solicitation selections for both Pima County and Pinal County over the past 16 years. Through his experience, he has learned the importance of identitying requirements early on, and that selecting the right tool can make or break a project. Paul leads several meetings each and every day, across multiple organizations; without the best platforms, those meetings can become dull and inefficient.
