Guest Presenter: Chris Fox

Chris Fox is Vice President for Business Operations for the University of Arizona Applied Research Corporation.  Her role is in facilitating collaborations between the University faculty and the Department of Defense and Industry partners in offering real solutions and innovative results to their current defense challenges in addition to providing Program Management support upon contract award.  Chris is a certified Project Management Professional. 

Prior to her current position, Chris was employed for 10 years with a small local aerospace engineering services company, Tucson Embedded Systems, supporting them in various roles of Program Management, Vice President of Government Solutions Division and Chief Operations Officer.   She managed a multi-million dollar portfolio of DoD contracts.   

Chris is also a retired Army Communications and Acquisition Officer.  As a Communications Officer, she served with the 22^nd Signal Brigade, 17^th Signal Battalion in Frankfurt, Germany as a Platoon leader, Company Executive Officer and Assistant S-3 for Operations.  She then took Command of the 999^th Signal Company, 504^thSignal Battalion at Fort Huachuca, AZ responsible for 154 personnel in the worldwide installation, modernization, rehabilitation, and removal of information communication systems, facilities, and equipment.   

Chris transitioned into the Acquisition Corps in 1996.  Her assignments included:  Project Officer for the U.S. Army Standard Army Maintenance System at Fort Lee, VA;  Assistant Product Manager for the U.S. Army Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Command Training Devices responsible for the instrumentation system at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, CA; Program Integrator for the U.S. Army Defense Contract Management Agency Lockheed Martin Corporation in Orlando, Florida; Training with Industry Officer for Tucson Embedded Systems in Tucson, AZ;  Project/Requirements Manager for the U.S. Army TRADOC Capability Manager for the Distributed Common Ground System Army, Fort Huachuca, AZ.

Chris Fox has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Technology and a Master of Science degree in Information Systems.
