Calendar of Events

The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona has been serving the public since 1976. Throughout the years, we have come to partner with many organizations to host food drives and fundraisers that have become staple events in the Tucson community. We have also had the chance to create our own fundraising events in the past two decades.  The Community Engagement team works on five major events throughout the calendar year: Our Spring Gala, The National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, Canstruction, HungerWalk, and Winterhaven, Festival of Lights. Each of these events is unique, in that they are either in collaboration with a third party, or hosted by the Community Food Bank itself. These events have evolved over the years, with the help of learned experiences, shared knowledge, reporting, and collaborative feedback.

Liana Sharp
Event Specialist | Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona

With a strong background in marketing, client services, and nonprofit engagement, Liana Sharp currently serves as the Event Specialist at the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, a role she has held since October 2024 after previously serving as the Community Engagement Director at the United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona.

Liana holds dual bachelor’s degrees: a B.S. in Business Administration (Marketing) from Western Governors University and a B.A. in Professional Photography from the University of Central Missouri. Her diverse educational foundation fuels her creative approach to community outreach and storytelling.

Strategic, relationship-driven, and passionate about creating impact, Liana specializes in elevating nonprofit visibility, galvanizing volunteers, and connecting resources to community needs. She is committed to fostering meaningful engagement that transforms lives.
